That's right Gloria, women before us made it through suffrage.

Let us not forget that in 1913 "Alice Paul and Lucy Burns organized the Congressional Union, later known as the National Women's Party (1916). Borrowing the tactics of the radical, militant Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) in England, members of the Woman's Party participated in hunger strikes, picketed the White House, and engaged in other forms of civil disobedience to publicize the suffrage cause."

Now we have momsrising.org to keep mother's informed about the positions of the candidates and to help bring our issues to the top of their piles.

Note to all women (and men): vote because you can!

Very good. This is all coming together from our conversations over the past few years, and I hear the strong echo of last night's talk with Jim, about the feminization of the culture, the economy, the zeitgeist--this is how the world will change, and quickly, over the next 5 to 7 years. Moms will indeed save the world, as our girls used to love to think would happen, and they'll be part of it.
