I so agree about the power of footwear! I am a board certified Pedorthist, and our feet have a huge impact on our overall body well-being. If you are interested in learning more about the impact of footwear on our bodies, check out http://www.love-moccasins-more.com

I come from a family of women that kick off their shoes at a moment's notice and have always loved the feeling of wiggling our toes in the grass.
My mother always ironed in her bare feet. And in early spring, I was kicking off my shoes to go barefoot. My aunts never wear shoes in the house and as I said at family picnics we all end up with shoeless feet.

omigod. I have McKala's card and plan to get there sometime in the near future. As a former dancer, I know the benefits and pleasure of reflexology. When in college, I studied human anatomy; I became convinced that high heels were a method of torture perpetrated on women by women. They are just as bad as toe shoes, believe me! Talk about back pain! It is amazing to me that women squeeze their feet into all sorts of non foot shaped devices. Also, it is important to remember that our feet connect us to the ground. They are the portal to the healing energy of the earth. My main healer, Warren Grossman (google him if you're interested) begins our sessions with asking me to concentrate on the connection of my feet to the floor. No kidding, there is a direct line to let the nasty stuff go and receive the good stuff. Want to open your heart, your mind? Start by opening your feet. Take a walk on the earth -- there's nothing like it.
BTW -- a couple of years ago Warren talked about moving to the Southwest -- there was a small revolution among his clients here. Thank god he is still with us. He is another hidden treasure in Northeast Ohio.

The club of McKala's beneficiaries is way too small! We either have to keep going back, recruit more, or do both. Daniella and I spoke briefly at Bloggapalooza about a women blogger's gathering - how about for reflexology?? :)
